Dan Petrescu is more worried about the match with FC Argesh than the Super League match with FCSB

CFR Cluj has not yet succeeded in the playoffs, and the Romanian champion has more and more team problems.

Dan Petrescu’s side face FC Argeş in the quarter-finals of the Romanian Cup on Thursday and the Transylvanian coach has shown his concern ahead of the clash with Bohdan Argeş Vintila’s side.

I would with all my heart want to win this trophy myself, especially since in CFR I only won a championship, without winning a Cup or a Super Bowl. When it’s a trophy, you always have to play 100 percent.

We always prioritized the championship, even if in the Cup we never tried to say: I’m not interested. I’d like to drive past Argesh and then we’ll talk.

This match, from the coach’s point of view, is more difficult than against FKSHB. The players in the match against FCSB do not need special motivation.

There are big problems with the party. This match is coming… It couldn’t be worse. I am concerned. You can’t put all the players on Thursday, in the snow, and on Sunday, two days later, play a very important match against FCSB.

Those who played less also have to prove that they deserve to be here in the CFR. Some players who haven’t played at all will play tomorrow.

Boateng injured, Camora injured, Bordeianu suspended, Deak injured… They can’t even play FCSB. We didn’t make it to the quarters to play like that, let time go by.

Every match is important, if we leave the Cup, then the championship remains. This match should be taken as a final. – said Dan Petrescu, reports Digi Sport.
