DACHSER has branches in Romania, including Arad, since 2009. Due to the annual increase in the volume of transportation in 2020, it was decided that it was time to build a new, larger warehouse in the east of the country. New placeÞit is installedÞlastAhem generateÞthat is, with the surfaceÞAhem 2477 sq.m. and 15 dock ramps.

In 2021, the Arad branch recorded an 11% increase in turnover, reaching approximately ten million euros, and the number of transported more than 59,400 domestic and international shipments. In order to develop the warehouse, it is planned to expand it by another 2153 m2 and 18 additional ramps.

The new warehouse will handle more than 200 tons of cargo daily, carrying out transit operations, in particular, due to the operation of mobile boxes, as well as national operations for the collection/delivery of cargo within a radius of up to 350 km.

In addition to two daily national transport lines to Bucharest and Brasov, the branch also has daily connections to Slovakia, Germany, Poland and Hungary.

“The new warehouse will contribute to the decisive strengthening of our positions in the domestic market, determining the increase in opportunities for managing the volumes of export and import transit, ensuring effective consolidation in the group system of freight transport. The optimization of internal processes will be reflected in the reduction of operations, costs, which will create an advantage for our customers in terms of transport rates and transit time from and to EU countries and even outside the EU”, – reports Florin Dan Mott, director of the DACHSER Branch in Arad.

Furthermore, in the medium term, this shift is expected to create new jobs at the same time as sustainable development focused on environmental protection.

DACHSER entered Romania in 2009, initially successfully establishing itself in three cities: Bucharest, Brasov and Arad. In 2011, it built a warehouse in Ploiesti for ADR products, adhering to the highest safety standards.
