Graham Potter’s dismissal did little for Chelsea, who failed to win in the remainder of the Premier League’s eighth-leg 0-0 draw with Liverpool.

Chelsea – Liverpool 0-0, Premier League

As Spain’s Bruno Saltor was on the bench until a new technician was appointed, the video refereeing system disallowed two Chelsea goals.

Rhys James’ goal in the 26th minute was disallowed for offside, while Kai Havertz’s goal in the 50th minute was disallowed for a handball seen by the referees in the VAR room.

While both teams have had a season that their fans should forget as soon as possible, Jurgen Klopp’s side are slightly better in the standings.

After 28 games, Liverpool are in eighth place with 43 points, while London’s Chelsea are only in 11th place with 39 points.
