
The famous white suit that John Travolta danced in movie Pop culture icon “Saturday Night Fever” is up for auction.
The monochrome three-piece suit, which will go under the hammer at the end of the month as part of Julien’s Auctions’ “Hollywood: Classic & Modern” themed sale, is expected to reach price 200000$.
In the 1977 film, he is played by Travolta. Tony Maneroa young Italian-American from Brooklyn who struggles to escape from everyday life by dominating the local disco dance floor.

The wide-lapel, large-pocket polyester suit worn by film actor Tony Manero in the famous space contest scene is one of two used in the film, according to the auctioneers.

The costume is described by the organizers as “as one of the most iconic in the history of cinemaand comes with authenticity papers from Travolta himself and Paramount.
“Heroes from Sir Lancelot to Tom Mix have worn white in the great games to express purity and dedication. So for me, white was the only suit option. I am grateful that our hero John Travolta and our production took it the same way,” says designer Patricia von Brandenstein.
