Strong accusations from Barcelona against Javier Tebas

The Catalan club reacted sharply in a press release, in which it was accused of a recent media lynching, repeating that FC “Barcelona” never bought referees, writes Mundo Deportivo.

“Given the seriousness of the information that appeared in the press today, where the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, is accused of giving false testimony to the prosecutor’s office in order to indict the Barcelona club, we want to express our anger and outrage.

For this reason, we urgently ask the president of La Liga to appear publicly to provide an explanation.

Barcelona, as president Laporta said, was the victim of a media campaign over events that never happened: Barcelona never bought referees.

As he has assigned himself positions that do not suit him, and out of dignity and respect for the president of La Liga, Mr. Tebas must resign from his position,” the Barcelona club said in a statement.

In response, Javier Tebas said that the news in La Vanguardia was false.

“The news from La Vanguardia is fake, and the proof is in the text itself. The document is not forged, and we do not blame anyone. It’s all fake, it’s self-victimization,” Tebas announced.
