Severe Ilina weather that affected Greece caused problems in Thessalonikiwhere the tree fell.

In the morning, a message was sent to residents from 112 warning them of extreme weather.

It is raining heavily in the capital, especially in the afternoon, and trees and objects fell due to strong winds, fortunately, no injuries were recorded. So far, the fire department has received ten calls for falling trees and two for removal of objects.

During the day, a westbound truck on the ring road veered off course at Efkarpia Hill. The movement of vehicles is carried out on one lane.

The weather is rainy throughout Central Macedonia. According to the police, due to heavy rains and flooding of the Alyakmonas River, the movement of vehicles was stopped on the municipal road (parallel road of Egnatia) between the settlements of Niseloudi and Prasinada in Imathia.

Snowfall was recorded in the ski resorts Pisoderio Florina, Vasilitsa Grevena, Celio Imatia and Kaimaktsalan (Voras) in Pella.

It is predicted that bad weather “Ilyina” tomorrow will bring storms in Central and Eastern Macedonia, as well as in Thrace.
