Closing half a century clean petrol carsrenowned Italian manufacturer of luxury and sports cars Lamborghini introduced its first model with a charging port. And it marks her entry into a new era electric drive. It’s a Lamborghini Revuelto hybrid (meaning “mixed up” in Spanish). As reported in a related article by the American news network CNN, this car, although it has a V12 petrol engine, also has three electric motors. Together, the two systems can provide a total of 1,001 horsepower. automated industry. It is worth noting that its price has not yet been disclosed, while it has a menu with 13 different driving modes in total. Low speeds will be achieved through front-wheel drive, which will be all electric, while aggressive driving will use all the available power from the V12 engine and electric motors.

Lamborghini has redesigned the engine layout to make room for the batteries and ensure perfect weight distribution front and rear of the car.

Founded in Santa Agata in Bologna, Italy in 1963 and still based there today, the automaker doesn’t stop there. Everything about the Lamborghini Revuelto is new, including the gasoline engine that was developed specifically for this new car, Lamborghini said in a statement. Meanwhile, even the orientation of the engine inside the vehicle is different. In earlier Lamborghini V12 models, starting with the Countach, engine power was sent to the front of the car, with the transmission located between two seats. From there, engine power was redirected through rotating drive shafts to the rear wheels or, in many newer models, to all four wheels. In particular, in Revuelto the engine is directed to the rear to make room for the batteries. This unusual arrangement solves the problem. This allows the car, despite the addition of heavy batteries, to maintain ideal weight distribution: 44% of the weight falls on the front wheels and 56% on the rear. Power from the petrol engine, along with power from the electric motor, is sent to the Revuelto’s rear wheels via an eight-speed gearbox only.

Two more electric motors drive each of the car’s front wheels, providing all-wheel drive. Two independent front wheel electric motors allow each front wheel to receive a different amount of power for optimum cornering and traction. For reference, Revuelto batteries can now be charged through a plug, just like in an electric car. However, Lamborghini has not announced how many kilometers the car will be able to drive on a single battery. Once the batteries no longer have enough power to power the car, it will operate like a standard hybrid, switching between electric and petrol power as needed.
