
The Kremlin announced today that a decision has not yet been made on whether President Vladimir Putin will visit Turkey in April to open the Akuyu nuclear power plant.
Recall that on Wednesday evening, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan mentioned that “Mr. Putin may come to Turkey for the inauguration ceremony,” which is expected to take place on April 27.
According to the announced schedule, the first reactor at Akugiu will become operational this year, but the project is not expected to be completed until 2025 at the earliest.
