After a perfect first half, Dorinel Munteanu’s side led at half-time with a goalless lead after Kehinde Fatai’s brace in the 14th and 21st minutes and former speedster Octavian Ursu’s 32nd-minute winner.
In the second half, Daniel Opritza’s wards came out of the booth much more motivated, and Štefan Bodistianu reduced the difference by scoring a double in the 51st and 59th minutes.
As a result, the guests missed several equalizing opportunities, canceling the goal.
CSA Steaua remains top of the second league with 43 points, level with Poli Iași, who could dethrone him after the match against Gloria Buzău.
After this victory, Ocellul Galats has 39 points, four less than the two teams leading the standings.
