After the official announcement, the Spanish Federation will inform UEFA about matches in international competitions, writes Marca.

The Catalans prepared this procedure after the Barcelona City Council decided last summer that work would begin in the 2023-2024 season.

The club, led by Joan Laporta, received €1.5 billion in funding for the Camp Nou renovations, which will not be completed until November 2024.

Montjuic Olympic Stadium in Barcelona has a capacity of 56,000.
