“We’ve got this RCA issue, we’ve been told and obviously we’re interested that it’s still a business, but now we have to think about how to move in that direction. Baška, we also need to modernize the infrastructure of the company. So the stake of the post office is not necessarily the profitability of the company at the moment, although obviously we have to make money, pay salaries and move on, but rather to solve these fundamental problems of Romania, on the one hand side and, on the other hand, the modernization of the company. The social role of the Post Office is obvious to everyone,” said Stefan.

The head of the Romanian post office admitted that the institution he leads “is in search of an identity perspective” and conveyed the fact that the main problem is that “we give the state more than 100 million euros every year and we feel that we do not receive back enough.”

“We don’t really know what we are: a courier company, financial services, the role of modernization of Romania, but we have a good trend. I think the main problem is that we give the state more than 100 million euros every time. year and we feel we are not getting enough back,” said a CNPR representative.

  • “The first step that I would like to see from the state, and I say this because we have three very important institutions, is the tendency to transfer the needs of the state to commercial companies.”
