The capital city hall took another step towards the restoration of the most destroyed tram lines in Bucharest. The stage of submitting tenders for the auction for 1.9 billion lei for the reconstruction of 44 km of the tram line has ended. The municipality received bids for 11 of the 15 lots put up for auction and has not yet determined the winners.

  • “We received offers for 11 out of 15 lots. Rehabilitation works have a term of 6 months for design and 12 months for execution for each individual lot.
  • The tram track reconstruction project is the largest public procurement ever undertaken by the capital city hall, with a total cost of approximately 1.9 billion lei.

In November, the capital city hall announced a tender for the modernization of 44 km of the tram line, the estimated cost of the contract is almost 1.9 billion lei.

The tender contract is divided into 15 lots and covers the design, technical assistance and execution of:

  • Lot 1 “Reconstruction of the road network on the street Pallady, Bdul 1 Decembrie 1918, Bdul Basarabia, Calea Călărașilor, Bdul Corneliu Coposu including Bucla Complex Titan”, route length 18,000 km, double track current line, entrance and exit – estimated value -745,280,162.85 RON; Auction for canceled by this lot.
  • Lot 2 “Reconstruction of the road network on Bdul Pache Protopopescu and st. Trajan”, route length 1900 km, two-track current line – estimated cost 76,439,665.89 RON; The auction for this lot has been cancelled.
  • Lot 4 “Reconstruction of the road system on Sfântul Constantin, Strada Ionel Perlea, Strada Grigore Cobălcescu and the route on B-dul Ion Mihalache, Calea Griviței, B-dul Bucurestii Noi, B-dul Gloriei, including the final end of Strada Piatra Morii”, route length 6,700 km of two-track current line – estimated cost – 273,681,486.62 RON;
  • Lot 5 “Reconstruction of the road and transport network on the highways of St. Paleologa, str. Armand Kelinescu, str. Vasile Laskar, str. Lizeanu and wagon entrance”, route length 1,800 km, two-track current line – estimated cost – 70,333,715.61 RON;
  • Lot 6 “Reconstruction of the road system on Boulevard Dimitrie Pompei, Boulevard Petricani, Boulevard Lakul Tei, Strada Maica Domnului, Strada Reînvierii and Strada Turmelor”, route length 5300 km of two-track current line – estimated cost 217,728,452.45 RON;
  • Lot 7 “Reconstruction of the road system on B-dul Gheorghe Duca, st. Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Calea Griviței and B-dul Dinicu Golescu”, route length 1810 km of two-track current line – estimated cost 100,967,312.79 RON;
  • Lot 8 “Reconstruction of the road system on Boulevard Marasesti between Boulevard Dimitrie Cantemira and Strada 11 Iunie”, route length 0.700 km of two-track current line – estimated value – 26,549,075.13 RON;
  • Lot 9 “Reconstruction of the road system on Chisinau Boulevard”, route length 0.825 km, two-track current line – 29,887,989.58 lei;
  • Lot 10 “Reconstruction of the road system on Bessarabian Boulevard from the intersection with B-dul 1 Decembrie 1918 to the main terminal of Republica”, route length 1200 km of two-track current line – estimated value 48,106,467.12 RON;
  • Lot 11 “Reconstruction of the road system on Exhibition Boulevard, Strada Aviator Popișteanu, Strada Puțul lui Crăciun, Strada Dornei and Strada Clăbucet”, route length 2000 km of two-track current line – estimated cost 81,467,537.27 RON;
  • Lot 12 “Reconstruction of the ring road system of the East Station on Obor Station Boulevard, Ferdinand I Boulevard (between Obor Station and Pantelimon Road), Pantelimon Road, Baikului Street”, route length 1885 km of two-track current line – estimated cost 113,469,201.03 RON;
  • Lot 13 “Reconstruction of the road system on Boulevard Ferdinand I, between Chausseau Mihai Bravo and Strada Trajan”, route length 0.690 km of two-track current line – estimated value 27,168,647.55 RON;
  • Lot 14 “Modernization of Titan Depot approach line on Nikolae Teklu Street”, route length 0.400 km two-track current line – estimated cost 14,208,248.62 RON;
  • Lot 15 “Reconstruction of the road system on Strada Dristului between B-dul Camil Ressu and Strada Baba Novac”, route length 0.220 km of two-track current line – estimated value 8,018,445.66 RON;
