Dan Petrescu will extend his contract with CFR Cluj until 2029

In the European spring season, CFR still has a real chance of another championship title, and this has forced Varga to offer “Badger” a new deal.

“I have a feeling that the team’s game is balanced and they will get back on track. It means a lot that we played 50 games in a very short period, it means a lot to the team. Once they have recovered and rested, they will follow their normal course.

We are all fighting, it will be a very close playoff. Everyone has a chance. I like the headlight, the way it goes, it puts a question mark for me to win the title. We hope to rehabilitate ourselves to get to where we want to be.

I discussed this with Dan Petrescu, we agree. It remains only to put it on paper. It will be extended until 2029, another 5 years after the current contract expires in 2024. We clapped our hands” – Nelutu Varga for Fanatic.
