On April 14-15, the Romanian women’s tennis team will meet the Slovenian team at the Billie Jean King Cup in Gainbridge, the winner of which qualifies for the final tournament of this competition.

The matches will be held at Sport Park Bonifica in the city of Koper.

Horia Tekeu, along with coaches Alina Teksor Serchel and Daniel Dobre, will rely on the following players:

– Ana Bohdan (57th place in the WTA ranking in singles and 269 in doubles)

– Iryna Maria Bara (193rd place in singles and 113rd place in doubles)

– Jacqueline Adina Christian (202nd place in singles and 531st place in doubles)

– Anka Alexia Todoni (727th place in singles and 1169th place in doubles)

– Monica Niculescu (40th place in doubles)

“This will again be a very important match for the Romanian national team. We want to go further, reach the final tournament and even if we play away from home, our focus is only on preparing for the match.

We try to make it as good as possible, regardless of who is the favorite. I really believe in the potential of our girls, especially since we have a good team relationship.

I’m excited and can’t wait to play and qualify.” – Horia Tecău sent, according to frt.ro.
