A court in El Salvador sentenced one of the members of the Mar Salvatrucha gang, known as MS-13, to 1,310 years in prison. The second member of the gang was sentenced to 945 years in prison, reports elespectador.com.
Attorney General Rodolfo Delgado said on Twitter that the gangster’s name is Wilmer Segovia, MS-13’s “homeboy.” He received 1,310 years in prison for 33 murders, 9 accessory to murder and other crimes.
He is not the only member of a terrible gang who goes to prison. Miguel Angel Portillo was sentenced to 945 years in prison after being found guilty of 22 murders, four counts of accessory to murder and one count of attempted murder.
“The members of the gang, who have caused so much pain and tears to the Salvadoran people, will not escape anywhere. They will remain locked up until they pay for each of their crimes. We will take care of it,” the prosecutor commented.
Wilmer Segovia, MS native of the Shulton program, which operated in the east of the country, was found guilty of 33 murders, 9 attempted murders and various extortions.
