One person was found guilty of conspiring to kill the head of intelligence Kyryll Budanov, the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov and a popular Ukrainian activist, the Security Service of Ukraine reported, citing the Kyiv Independent.

The accused comes from occupied Luhansk and had a Russian passport with him, the SBU reports. He also took part in military operations against Ukrainian forces in the east of Ukraine.

According to the SBU, he was recruited by Russian military intelligence after the start of the full-scale invasion.

For the murder of each suspect, a “reward” of 100 to 150 thousand dollars was promised, the SBU reported.

The SBU is now taking “comprehensive measures” to bring to justice the Russian accomplices of the accused who are in the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian court sentenced a suspect in Russian agency to 15 years in prison, the Security Service of Ukraine reported, writes The Kyiv Independent.

The man is a former vice-rector of one of Kyiv’s higher medical educational institutions. In 2020, he moved to Crimea, where he was recruited by the Russian FSB, the SBU reports.

A month before the beginning of the invasion, in February 2022, he returned to Kyiv to perform tasks, the SBU reported. According to the SBU, the agent collected information about Ukrainian military personnel undergoing treatment in hospitals in the Kyiv region.

As a reward for the information, the FSB promised to appoint him as deputy minister of health in the administration of Crimea, which was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014, the SBU added.
