His eldest daughter married King Abdullah and Rania of Jordan with his Greek origin Jamil Alexander Thermiotis.

The bride was accompanied at the ceremony by her brother, Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II.

The bride and groom signed marriage papers and exchanged wedding rings before celebrating with traditional songs at the wedding party.

Iman and Jamil Alexander met in New York and have been together for three years. The groom was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1994 and is of Greek descent, specifically from Andros.

In 2015, he received a degree in business administration from Florida International University, while Princess Iman studied at Georgetown University in Washington.

Iman and Jamil Alexander got engaged last July, and a month later the engagement of 28-year-old Prince Hussein, named after his grandfather, the late King Hussein bin Talal, was announced.
