A robbery with hundreds of thousands of euros in loot took place yesterday Thursday (03.09) in a parking lot at km 221 of the PATHE motorway on the way to Thessaloniki.

According to the report, it happened shortly after 7:00 p.m., when a car with four passengers stopped in the parking lot, from which three got out, leaving the 30-year-old driver alone and a bag in the passenger seat.

It was then that the assailant, possibly Roma, took the 30-year-old man by surprise, opened the passenger door, grabbed his bag and ran. The driver got out of the car and began to chase the attacker, but he threatened him with a sharp object and managed to hold on to the stolen goods before he jumped over the median fence of the highway and turned into smoke.

According to the victims, the stolen bag contained 38,000 euros, two Rolex watches, 20 homemade cufflinks and various legal documents, for a total value of 250,000 euros.
