A man was arrested on Wednesday evening in Nafpaktos on charges of a fatal traffic accident.

According to police, the defendants, while driving along the old Antirio-Lidorica highway early on Tuesday morning (7/3), drove over and fatally injured a 50-year-old pedestrian, after which they left the scene of the accident.

As part of the investigation carried out by Nafpaktia Traffic Department officials, they checked the driver’s information and detained him in the Nafpaktos area late last night.

The case brought against the defendant will be referred to the Attorney General of Messolonghi.
