
A seven-year-old Romanian girl who was injured on a ski slope in Bulgaria was rescued by a SMURD helicopter. She received a craniocerebral and thoraco-abdominal injury and was taken to the Children’s Emergency Hospital “Grigore Alexandrescu” in Bucharest.
“Yesterday, March 6, the SMURD helicopter was on an external mission to Bulgaria to pick up a 7-year-old Romanian girl who had a skiing accident on the slope in Bansko. As a result of the accident, the girl received a craniocerebral and thoraco-abdominal injury, she was taken to the Sofia hospital. Considering the serious condition of the girl, a decision was made at the level of the Department of Emergency Situations to transfer her to Bucharest using the SMURD helicopter,” the General Aviation Inspectorate said on Tuesday, according to News.ro. .
The girl was examined and picked up by a medical team from Romania, after which she was transported by SMURD helicopter to the Grigore Alexandrescu Children’s Emergency Hospital in Bucharest to receive specialized medical care.
“At the moment, the girl is under the supervision of doctors, there is no danger,” the IHA noted.
