Dortmund are through to the last 16 of the Champions League after finishing second in a group won by Manchester City that also included Sevilla and Copenhagen with two wins, three draws and one loss.
Dortmund’s best performance in the Champions League was in the 1996-1997 season, winning the competition 3-1 in the final against Juventus in Munich (Schwarzgelben again reached the last act in 2012-13 when they lost 1- 2 Bayern Munich in London at Wembley).
