Cristiano Ronaldo met a 10-year-old Syrian boy whose father died in the February earthquakes that killed more than 45,000 people in Turkey and Syria.

Nabil Saeed expressed his desire to see Ronaldo play as he spoke to Saudi Arabian rescuers who traveled to Syria to help earthquake victims.

The video of Saeed was posted by Turki Alalshih, chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority, who took to social media for help identifying the little boy.

Eventually, Nabeel was tracked down and invited to Saudi Arabia to watch Al Nasr play Al Bateen at the Marsool Park stadium along with his mother.

When the child was asked who he would like to go to Saudi Arabia with, Nabil replied: “With his father and mother.”

Nabil was visibly happy to make the weekend trip. “I can’t believe I’m in Saudi Arabia,” he mused before being approached by the Portuguese superstar.

Nabil told the 38-year-old football player that he loved him and hugged him. The former Manchester United striker chatted with Nabil for a while, and the boy imitated Ronaldo’s signature celebration alongside his idol by yelling “Sioux!”
