Having started from the pole position, Max Verstappen performed without emotion in the MP in Bahrain, the first stage of the new season in Formula 1. The “double” with RedBull was completed by Sergio Perez, and third was Fernando Alonso: He put on a show, overtaking Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz Jr.

We can’t say anything new under the sun: the 2023 season has resumed as last year: dominated by RedBull.

Max Verstappen won the race at the Sakhir circuit (for the first time in his career), with Sergio Perez second.

Veteran Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) ran the show with a fine run over Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Carlos Sainz Jr (Ferrari) to finish the day in a deserved third place.

Scuderia Ferrari had to settle for only 4th place, which was taken by Carlos Sainz Jr., while Lewis Hamilton finished 5th.

Charles Leclerc had an unlucky day: he was betrayed by a Ferrari when he was running in third place (on lap 40 of 57).
