
Two batches of eco vegetable chips have been withdrawn from sale, customers who purchased these products are advised not to use them due to exceeding the permissible standards for the content of a substance harmful to humans, acrylamide, the National Service of Sanitary-Veterinary Service and Food Products reports. Safety (ANSVSA), reports News.ro.
According to ANSVSA, the supplier Dennrre initiated the withdrawal from sale and recall from customers of two batches of eco-vegetable chips (manufactured by Go Pure) which expired on April 15 and April 22. The initiative is determined by exceeding the permissible values of the acrylamide content.
People who purchased these items are advised not to consume them, but to destroy them or return them to stores between March 2 and 23 and receive a refund.
Acrylamide is a substance that can appear in some foods when they are fried or processed at high temperatures, and is harmful to humans.
