Mr. Christodoulidis is expected to travel to Parliament, where he will in principle meet with BtA President Annita Dimitriou in her office.
Outgoing President Nikos Anastasiades will then go to Parliament, who will also meet Mr. Christodoulides in the president’s office. Both will then proceed to the Plenary Hall for the installation ceremony at 11:30.
After the ceremony, the new president will speak at the plenary session, and then accept the congratulations of the deputies in the office of the speaker of the chamber.
The related announcement states that after the completion of the inauguration ceremony for the new President, the outgoing President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis will return to the Presidential Palace, where the presidential couple will meet the new President Nikos Christodoulidis and First Lady Philippa Carceras. After the meeting, which will take place at the Office of the President of the Republic, President Christodoulides will see off President Anastasiadis, who will leave the Presidential Palace.
The inauguration ceremony of the new government will take place tomorrow at 10:00 am at the Presidential Palace.
