Phone maker OnePlus unveiled a new concept phone in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress with a new cooling system that should, in theory, help with super-fast charging and intense gaming sessions. The concept phone combines technology with design, and the cooling system is visible through the glass on the back of the phone.

The concept phone’s cooling system, called Active CryoFlux (which is based on the recently released OnePlus 11 model with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor), consists of several liquid tubes that run through the back of the phone, are illuminated in blue and can be seen through the clear glass on the back of the phone .

Through the transparent pipes, which are illuminated in blue, you can see how the coolant circulates, which creates a unique effect. To complete the aesthetic effect, OnePlus has placed a ring that lights up in blue around the circular camera mode.

Aside from the aesthetic side, the proposed liquid cooling system promises to keep the phone cooler during intensive tasks, when the user uses it during intensive gaming or when the phone is charging quickly.

The liquid cooling system on the mobile phone is 3-4 frames per second more in games

OnePlus says the Active CryoFlux system will mean 2.1 degrees Celsius of cooling during gaming sessions, resulting in an extra 3-4 frames per second.

When charging, OnePlus says the Active CryoFlux system will mean the phone’s temperature will drop by 1.6 degrees Celsius, meaning charging time will be reduced by around 30-45 seconds.
