Mao Ning answered the question about the statements of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky that he would be positive about negotiations with China.

In response to another question about Zelenskiy’s announcement that he plans to hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Mao said “China’s position on the Ukraine crisis is firm and very clear.”

“The main thing is to ask for peace and promote dialogue and a political solution to the crisis. We have always kept in touch with the parties involved, including Ukraine,” Mao said.

Zelenskiy said on Friday he plans to meet with Xi, but did not specify when such a meeting might take place.
