
In Khmelnytsky in the west, two people died, three were injured Ukrainefollowing a Russian attack using more than 10 Iranian-made drones last night, as announced by the authorities.
One of the dead was a rescue worker who died in the line of duty, Mayor Alexander Simchitsyn told Telegram, saying that “buildings were damaged” as a result of the strikes.
A little later, the governor of the Khmelnytsky region, Sergei Gamaly, reported on Telegram about the death of the second rescuer, who died in the hospital from his injuries. Gamaly also reported three nighttime strikes on a city about 350 kilometers southwest of Kyiv, which had about 275,000 residents prior to the Russian invasion.
In total, Russia sent up to “14 Iranian-made Shahed combat drones” against Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this morning, of which 11 were shot down by air defense systems. Near Kiev, nine drones were shot down, the capital’s military department said.
