The joint meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.

The decision was made on Saturday at a meeting of permanent bureaus.

On February 20, the vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies, USR MP Dan Barna said that he appealed to the heads of the two chambers to adopt a declaration of clear support for Ukraine at the plenary session of the parliament, noting that it is necessary for Romania to have a stronger voice against what is happening in the east borders of the country.

“It has been a year since Russia attacked an independent state, since the war in Ukraine began, and in this context I submitted to the presidents of the two chambers and the Permanent Bureau a proposal for a declaration by the Parliament of Romania, through which we express once very clearly and directly expressed solidarity and Romania’s support for Ukraine and for the despair of people who were expelled, killed, their children kidnapped, and their civil infrastructure destroyed a year ago. I hope that this declaration will become a reality,” said Barna.
