As for the lagana, he said classics are estimated to cost between €3 and €3.50, an average of 10 cents more than last year. He explained that a “gourmet” lagana would cost about 4.5 euros.
Mr. Georgiadis said the ‘household basket’ appears to be working and has generally led to lower prices. He even pointed out that in January, food inflation in the eurozone showed growth, while in Greece it remained stable.
Answering a question about the date of the elections, he stressed that everyone is working with the scenario of approaching the elections, but without naming a specific date.
