
A member of the Delta Force robotics team from Arad, the 2022 world champion, died in an accident that took place on the night of Wednesday to Thursday in Timisoara, the team’s mentor Corina Botošan confirmed to Agerpres.
According to the quoted source, Denuc Tol died “in a tragic accident”, and the news shocked the entire robotics team in Arad.
“We are shocked by the sad news we received, I can’t find words to express my pain. Danutz has been a member of Delta Force since the team’s second year, which is more than four years. He was very dedicated and passionate about robotics, and was involved in a new project FIRST Robotics, whose championship will be held next month in Istanbul, and where we are the only participating team from Romania,” Corina Botoşan told AGERPRES on Thursday.
She added that Denutz had been a member of Delta Force since the 9th grade. He went to study in Timisoara, where he was a first-year student at the Polytechnic, a colleague of Octavian Dragoš-Botošan, the founder of the champion robotics team of the National Higher School of Informatics of Arad.
Two people died in the night from Wednesday to Thursday in Timisoara as a result of an accident involving a car and public transport, in which there were nine people in total.
The press service of ISU Timiş reported that four prisoners were found in the car, two of whom were conscious, with multiple injuries, and two more (a man and a woman) were declared dead.
The accident happened on Corneliu Kopos Boulevard in Timisoara.
