
The Prosecutor’s Office of First Instance of Thessaloniki has ordered a preliminary investigation into a recent episode after the end of a school football match at the Pilaia municipal stadium, where young people attacked three minors with wooden objects, as a result of which a 15-year-old boy received a head injury and was sentenced to hospitalization.
Pursuant to the prosecutor’s order, the Pilea-Chortiatis Security Department is required to attach a medical record and a forensic report on the injuries sustained by a 15-year-old to the incident file in order to subsequently assess and assign the prescribed criminal charges.
A 17-year-old Albanian was arrested in this case and released pending completion of the criminal investigation.
As part of the same preliminary investigation, the police are instructed to continue investigations to identify other individuals involved in the attack.
