Manchester United have raised ticket prices for the first time in 11 seasons.

Manchester United have increased ticket prices for adults by 5% for next season after 11 seasons in which they were “frozen”, the Premier League club has announced.

The rise is attributed to higher matchday costs, which have risen 40% in the last five years and 11% in the last 12 months, according to United.

“Moderate price increases for the 2023/24 season are necessary to enable the club to operate on a sustainable basis,” the English club said in a statement, adding: “We have kept price increases well below current inflation rates. Ticket prices at Old Trafford – along with food and drink prices on match days – will remain among the most affordable in the Premier League.”

The football club added that season ticket prices will be “frozen” for players under 16 and young fans, as well as a 50% discount for season ticket holders aged 65 and over.
