Cathargate – Eva Kylie: her lawyers ask her to stay at home with the baby

Her hearing ended in the afternoon Eva Kylie Brussels Council for Pretrial Trial in his case Cathargate.

In the coming hours, the judges’ decision is expected to be announced on whether the MEP will remain in prison or be released on parole.

In statements, Eva Kylie’s new lawyer, Sven Marie, said he had asked for the MEP’s parole, noting that there was no possibility of her leaving the country or falsification of evidence.

Earlier, upon arrival, Sven Marie noted that Eva Kaili is a mother and her place is at home with a child. “She is the mother of a child who is currently being held by a grandfather. Eva Kylie’s place is at home,” he said.

Her lawyer, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, noted that Eva Kaili was not going to admit to actions that she did not commit, and also launched an attack on the Italian MEP Antonio Panzeri, who reached an agreement with the Belgian authorities, saying that he “is capable of blaming even the Pope.”

The direct participation of Arena and Moretti “shows” a warrant for Coccolino.

The Belgian investigation into alleged corruption and influence buying by Qatar and Morocco in the European Parliament has expanded, according to an international arrest warrant obtained by Politico.

MEPs Maria Arena and Alessandra Moretti are linked to an investigation by Belgian prosecutors following a warrant from Italian MEP Andrea Coccolino, who was arrested last week on charges of corruption, money laundering and membership in a criminal organization. The warrant was issued on February 10 by Belgian investigator Michel Klis.

According to the document, Arena and Moretti were part of the group, along with Coccolino and Belgian MEP Marc Tarabella, who was also arrested last week. The quartet, according to the warrant, was following orders from former MEP Pierre Antonio Panzeri, the alleged leader of a network operating in the European Parliament that reached an agreement with Belgian prosecutors.
