CFR Cluj lost the first match of the UEFA Conference League playoffs to Lazio (1:0), at the end of the match, in which the Transylvanian team had a numerical advantage for more than 70 minutes.

The team coached by Dan Petrescu made a brave start to the game at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and were quite sharp in the opening minutes of the game.
