
A meeting between the elected President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis, and the Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar, is “scheduled” for Thursday, February 23 at 11:00 am.
According to a statement from the Political Office of the Cypriot President, the meeting will take place at the home of Colin Stewart, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Cyprus, at Nicosia Airport.
It is recalled that Mr. Christodoulides was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus during the period 2018-2021. and previously as a government representative (in the period 2014-2018), and Ersin Tatar took over the leadership of the Turkish Cypriots in 2020, replacing Mustafa Akıncı.
