According to the ministry, “from the very first hours after the earthquake, our country was ready to send humanitarian aid to support the victims of the earthquake in Syria, and any delay is not its fault.”

The ministry added that “Greece, on the other hand, has made great efforts to immediately send materials to Syria, together with the European Commission and the European Civil Protection Mechanism, through which the coordinated and effective provision of assistance by Member States to the affected areas is carried out.” .
The dispatch of humanitarian aid through the European Mechanism is coordinated by the Ministry of Climate Crises and Civil Protection in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
