
​Family doctor, specialist doctor, family members, pharmacists and local authorities (e.g. Ministry of Health) are the main sources of information for Romanians regarding health, diseases or health services. Television, print media, radio and social networks such as Facebook and Whatsapp are at the bottom of the ranking.
The main sources of information for Romanians about health, diseases and medical services:
- A family doctor is highly trusted by 55% of respondents
- Specialist doctor – 51%
- Family members / relatives – 40%
- Pharmacist – 31%
- National bodies (Ministry of Health) – 31%
- Department of Public Health – 26%
- Internet – 23%
- Television – 17%
- Print media / newspapers – 12%
- Radio – 12%
- Social networks (Whatsapp, Facebook, etc.) – 12%
The same survey shows that almost half (46%) of those surveyed have seen a family doctor in the last month, 27% in the last 3 months, 16% in the last year, 8% more than a year ago, while 3% have a family doctor, but he does not remember the last time he was addressed.
The survey was conducted by MSD and presented at a debate organized by the Chronic Disease Patient Organizations Coalition (COPAC).
