​Orange Romania reported a business volume of €1.57 billion last year, down 2.6% compared to the same period in 2021. This situation is caused by the impact of the macroeconomic context, as well as the structural decline of some voice and data activities.

In the period from October to December 2022, Orange Romania achieved a consolidated turnover of 403 million euros, which is 5.8% less compared to the same period last year.

As of December 31, 2022, the company provided mobile communication services to 10.1 million users, fixed broadband access services to 1.2 million users, and cable and satellite television services to 1.4 million users.

The company says it was providing 5G services in 22 cities at the end of last year. As for investments in communication infrastructure, the company bought the rights to use the radio frequency spectrum for 25 years for the amount of 264.6 million euros.

Orange claims that last year more than 1,500 new settlements in urban and rural areas gained access to 4G and 4G+ connectivity, with 4G covering 98.67% of the population, while the 4G+ network with download speeds of up to 355.6 Mbps and up to 47.5 Mbps for download, covering 80.15% of the population.
