So, while staying in the same musical climate, two more big names are added to this day’s lineup, and that’s Echoes and rabbits and Viagra Boys, who will take the stage to Water Square and Xefotos SNFCC respectively.

Other names will be announced shortly, both for this day and for the other two that will take place in the context of this collaboration.

Echo & The Bunnymen formed in 1978, inspired by the love of New York punk and the psychedelia of bands like the 13th Floor Elevators and The Doors. With the distinctive voice and eccentric personality of Ian McCulloch and the undeniable talent of Will Sergeant as the main driving force, the band wrote its name in golden letters in the history of music in the 80s, with the songs “Crocodiles” (1980), “Heaven Up Here”. (1981), “Porcupine” (1983) and “Ocean Rain” (1984).

In the decades that followed, the band was appreciated by the public and critics, experiencing great commercial success, conquering the radio (from John Peel, who invited them to his legendary show six times, to the most popular radio stations), experiencing tragedies (such as the death of their amazing drummer Pete de Freitas ), departures and lineup changes, but he will see his run continue to this day as McCulloch and Sergeant forged a musical bond that may have been cracked but never torn apart over a long career. who never stopped giving us great songs.

The Viagra Boys are not your typical post-punk band. The six-piece group is comprised of jazz musicians, veterans of the hardcore punk scene and tattoo artists who have swept everything in their path in five years: released three records, played countless concerts and brought a breath of renewal to post-punk. thanks to their witty humor and inventive compositions.

Since their formation in 2015, the Viagra Boys have signed some of the most interesting releases in recent years. Starting with their debut EP “Consistency of Energy” (2016), the band set out to build a frenzied fan base that can’t resist their frenetic beats, and of course the adorable Sebastian Murphy, the charismatic frontman who looks like he just stepped out. from the mold that gave birth to the great Iggy Pop. In 2022, they released the powerful “Cave World” and with this they will visit our country for the second time.
