“We are weakening Russia’s ability to maintain its war machine,” Ms von der Leyen said, adding that “with nine rounds of sanctions, the Russian economy is moving backwards. And to maintain this strong pressure, we propose the tenth package of measures. With new trade bans and controls on technology exports to Russia. This package has a total value of 11 billion euros. We propose, among other things, to introduce restrictions on the export of electronic components used in Russian weapons systems, such as drones, missiles, helicopters.”

She also pointed out that “there are also hundreds of Iranian drones that Russia uses on the battlefields in Ukraine.”

“For the first time, we are proposing to impose sanctions against Iranian organizations, including those associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps,” he added.
