
Emergency assistance in the amount of 200 to 300 euros, depending on the size of their pensions, will be received by pensioners who didn’t see a raise due to ‘personal differences’, PM says Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
“Emergency assistance will be provided to pensioners who have not had an increase in pensions since 01.01.23,” the Prime Minister said, answering a related question during a press conference with regional media in Kozani. “It will be from 200 to 300 euros, depending on the size of the pension each person receives,” he added.
The prime minister said details would be provided tomorrow, Wednesday, by the financial staff. As he clarified, this will be a one-time assistance. The Prime Minister noted that the total amount of emergency assistance is estimated at around 300 million euros, noting that the economy is growing better than expected and there is now a clearer picture of budget execution.
Throwing arrows at SYRIZA, he accused him of “cutting pensions” and noted that “personal differences” were a product of the “law of Katrugalos.” According to him, there are pensioners with low pensions who have not had an increase since January 1, and who will be provided with emergency assistance.

At the same time, the Prime Minister also announced a scheme of 36 to 72 payments on new debts of permanent borrowers, which is expected to be announced tomorrow. The specialization of new mechanisms will be done tomorrow by the Government’s Economic Headquarters.
In addition, as the Prime Minister mentioned, all those who wish to renew their participation in the old installment schemes will be able to do so by paying two monthly installments.
