In what appears to be a continuation of the world tour, the Bugatti Mistral made a stop in the south of France, where it meets the famous wind that gave it its name. On the roads of the foothills of the Cote d’Azur, Bugatti offers today a wonderful series of photos of its best roadster.
We remind you that the Mistral is a north-westerly and northerly wind, very cold in winter and often strong, which affects the north of the western Mediterranean basin. It can reach over 100 km/h on the plain, especially in the lower part of the Rhône valley. Its power is certainly the element that prompted Bugatti to name the last W16-powered model in its history as the ‘Mistral’.
The W16 MISTRAL combines with the powerful and relentless wind that gave the name to BUGATTI’s best roadster. It is the moment in time when two forces become one, when nature meets machine. #BUGATTI #W16MIStral

Bugatti Mistral: the most powerful roadster in the world
As the name suggests, it offers to enjoy the unique soundtrack of W16, hair in the wind. The W16 is offered here in the most powerful configuration viz 1600 hp. It’s the fastest convertible in the world, which Bugatti says it can achieve 420 km/h in maximum comfort.
The Bugatti Mistral is more than a facelifted Chiron. Therefore, engineers developed a monocoque specifically for this model. The front part of the car repeats the famous Divo, and the rear takes inspiration from the impressive Bolide.
Bugatti has also done a lot of work on the acoustics of its engine, particularly with the intake air intakes located just behind the headrests, enough to almost feel the breath of the turbo on its neck.
Bugatti Mistral: see you in 2024
Each of the 99 planned examples of the Bugatti W16 Mistral is invoiced five million euros. All of them have already found takers. The first deliveries should begin in 2024. Meanwhile, the model is making a short trip around the world.
The Mistral was recently in Japan, where it visited Kanda Myojin Temple, Oishi Park and Mount Kadan, showcasing its design against the vibrant colors of Tokyo.
