Two lanes of Afinsky Prospekt were blocked on Monday morning due to a rupture of the EYDAP pipeline at night.
The pipeline broke at the exit of Athens Avenue, at the height of the psychiatric hospital in Daphni, and the Attica region warned of serious traffic problems and forbade drivers to use it during these hours.
An EYDAP team went to the scene to repair the damage, Kimon Logothetis, regional road safety adviser, told ERT.
The movement is carried out only on one lane and as an hour passes, and until 10 am. While the damage is expected to be repaired, drivers are advised to avoid exiting Athensky Prospekt.
Motorists are asked to choose alternative exits from the capital to the west, for example, along the main axis of the Attic road to Elefsina.
