The eighth favorite of the tournament Anastasia Potapova (44 WTA) was beaten by the former Roland Garros-2019 finalist Marketa Vondrousova in the semifinals.
Instead, Petra Martic (34 WTA) knocked out the big favorite of the tournament, the Greek Maria Sakkari, in the semi-finals. The final lasted one hour and 18 minutes.
The Linz Open 2023 (WTA Linz) was held from February 6 to 12 indoors and is part of the WTA 250, offering a total of $259,303 in prize money. Titled tournament champion (2021) – Alison Riske.
