Anastasia Potapova won the WTA 250 tournament in Linz after defeating Croatia’s Petra Martic in Sunday’s final.

Anastasia Potapova won the WTA Linz

The athlete from Russia won in two sets 6-3, 6-1.

The eighth favorite of the tournament Anastasia Potapova (44 WTA) was beaten by the former Roland Garros-2019 finalist Marketa Vondrousova in the semifinals.

Instead, Petra Martic (34 WTA) knocked out the big favorite of the tournament, the Greek Maria Sakkari, in the semi-finals. The final lasted one hour and 18 minutes.

The Linz Open 2023 (WTA Linz) was held from February 6 to 12 indoors and is part of the WTA 250, offering a total of $259,303 in prize money. Titled tournament champion (2021) – Alison Riske.
