Builder of a 12-story building that collapsed from earthquake in Turkeywas arrested while trying to leave the country, Anadolu news agency reported.

Some 800 people are trapped under the rubble of a 250-unit Renaissance complex in Turkey’s southeastern Hatay province.

Since Monday, many Turkish media outlets have accused some builders of using substandard materials or not following rules when constructing buildings. The private television channel NTV reported that today in Diyarbakir first lawsuit and others are expected to follow.

“The investigation into the collapsed buildings continues. The perpetrators will be found and brought to justice,” Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said.
