In a very limited number of municipalities that are still facing problems bad weather, Primary and secondary schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, February 10th.

It was decided in new emergency teleconference of the regional governor with 66 municipalities of Atticawith the participation of deputy governors, as well as meteorologist C. Laguvardo, who said that the bad weather was leaving, but very low temperatures would prevail in the following days.

On the occasion of today’s meeting with the mayors, the Regional Governor of Attica G. Patulis points out in this regard:

“With the exception of some municipalities that still have problems, schools in the rest of Attica will be operating as normal tomorrow Friday. For all the schools in Attica that will be open tomorrow, it is important that the directors and responsible persons take care that, due to the low temperatures, the classrooms are heated on time. I thank my fellow mayors, deputy regional governors of Attica and all leaders of the region and municipalities for their cooperation. Our absolute priority is the safety of students, their parents and teaching staff.

Schools that will not hold classes due to bad weather are in the following municipalities:

• Oropa
• Dionysus
• In the municipalities of Varnavas and Grammatiko in the municipality of Marathon
• In the Municipality of Palaia Penteli in the Municipality of Penteli
• In the municipalities of Eritra and Willia of the municipality of Mandra-Idyllia
• In the tribal community of the municipality of Fili
• In the municipality of Aharna, all schools will operate as usual, with the exception of the following, which will remain closed:

1. ACHARNA SCHOOL

KINDERGARTEN: 24, 15, 29, 30, 31
PRIMARY SCHOOLS: 11th, 19th, 21st, 24th (including the 35th kindergarten, which is located together) 26th, 27th, 28th (KAPOTA), 29th, 30 – SECONDARY SCHOOL – SECONDARY SCHOOL: 12TH SECONDARY SCHOOL, 6th GENERAL SECONDARY SCHOOL

2. PUMP SCHOOL:

KINDERGARTEN – PRIMARY SCHOOL and MONTESORIAN SCHOOL

3. TRACOMEDAN SCHOOLS:

KINDERGARTEN: 1, 2, 3
PRIMARY SCHOOLS: 1st, 2nd
SECONDARY SCHOOL – GENERAL LYCEUM

It should be noted that the schools of the municipality of Aharna, which will remain open, will have a visiting time until 9.

In areas where schools will be closed, according to the relevant recommendations of the mayors, kindergartens will also remain closed.

With the exception of the schools in the municipality of Kitira, where the mayor has set attendance to 10, in all other municipalities of Attica, schools will be open tomorrow.

Finally, it should be noted that public and private out-of-local schools of primary and secondary education (EPAL, Musical, Artistic, Experimental, Evening, Special Schools, etc.) on the recommendation of the governor of the region G. Patulis, will be opened, unless otherwise decided by them leaders.
