US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said today that the loss of life from earthquakes in Turkey and Syria (s.s. about 12,000 dead at last count) “really shocking, shocking.”
The United States has sent more than 150 search and rescue personnel to Turkey, Mr. Blinkenadding that Washington has yet to say in the coming days how the US will continue to support the Turkish and Syrian peoples as the Turks and Syrians struggle to recover from the devastation.
