The US executive has planned a series of trips to try to fix this.

The president must open tunnels and bridges and travel the country to talk about the cost of living, proving he has the energy to lead on the campaign trail.

The Democrat knows his best chance, as in 2020, is not to present himself as the candidate of the heart but of the mind against former President Donald Trump, who is already on the campaign trail.

Before the Republicans who control the House of Representatives and who are ready for any confrontation, Joe Biden must present himself as a pragmatic president, open to political dialogue.
