Local media reported that players Burak Oksyus and Kerem Alici were pulled alive from the rubble, but Christian Atsu and sporting director Taner Savut were said to be “stuck under the rubble of the collapsed building” and have not yet been found.

Literally a day ago, Atsu brought his team a victory over Kasimpasa (23rd stage of the Super League) with a score of 1:0, scoring in the 90th+7th minute.

A former Porto, Chelsea and Newcastle player, Atsu was capped 65 times by the Ghana national team.

Volkan Demirel, a desperate challenge after the earthquakes in Turkey

Hatayspor coach Demirel could not contain his emotions and began to cry when he called for help.

“There is only suffering here, many people have died. Please help us! Submit save! We can’t find loved ones. We cannot do much by ourselves. The situation is very bad, and not only in Hatay, but everywhere around. Please help us, for God’s sake” – Volkan Demirel.

Many buildings collapsed in the snow-covered region as rescuers began searching for survivors trapped under the debris.
